F&D on Dr Demento! — On Feb 29, 2004, we were featured on Dr. Demento's internationally syndicated comedy radio show! He played track 4 off our CD ("15 Stout Midgets")! Here is the playlist from that first show (obtained from the "rec.music.dementia" fansite by Jeff Morris). He has since played "Midgets" again (March 28, 2004), "Accountant Song" (April 11), and more Midgets (July 11)! Good Doctor, any other tracks you want to play from our CD, you go right ahead! (More...)

New F&D online store! — We've got a new online store where you can buy some great items for your friend or loved one. We'll get more stuff going, but check it out for now by clicking here!

F&D on Madly Off In All Directions! — On March 8, 2003, we recorded a set at the Oakville Centre for the Arts for CBC Radio's Madly Off In All Directions. Lorne Elliott was amazing, and the line-up and staff were absolutely terrific. (More...)

F&D on Dutch National Radio! — In July, 2002, we received word from Dutch Radio DJ Paul van Gelder that he would play our "Jazz" MP3 on his July 12, 2002 show Geen Tijd ("No Time" in Dutch). We were tickled pink. Here's Geen Tijd's playlist for that day. We were in pretty good company!

F&D's Robert Hawke part of the Second City National Touring Company (June 2002 to October 2003) — Way to go Robbo, ya did fantastically! And the send off night (October 19, 2003) at Second City featured Robbo getting pied, lots of nudity (hubba hubbas go to femmes fatales Lex, Leslie & Lauren and oh my god full frontal from the TourCo director Doug Morency), and a 15-person improv set that was like a Robert Hawke roast! Mmmmm... roast Hawke meat... A great-spirited way to say goodbye and thanks to El Robbo!

1999 Gemini Nomination — We were nominated, with Skippy's Rangers, for comedy writing on our joint episode of CBC's SketchCom! While we didn't win, it was a fantastic time just to be there, rubbing elbows with Canada's shining northern lights like the writers and cast from "22 Minutes", Gordon Pinsent, Maury Chaykin, and even Ralph Benmergui. Pssst, wanna know what a Gemini nomination letter looks like? Here's one.

F&D on the Erin Davis Show (Oct 1999 to Dec 2000)Erin Davis, ex of CHFI-FM in Toronto (hey, how are your ratings now, CHFI?), had a fun talk show on Rogers Cable and we got to guest on it a few times. We even got to play the Royal York Hotel thanks to her. She rocks no matter where she is, and that's not news.

SketchCom on CBC (1998) — Royal Canadian Air Farce's Roger Abbot and Don Ferguson produced a great 13-episode comedy series for CBC showcasing sketch comedy talent in Canada (well, mainly Toronto, but if it wasn't cancelled it would have opened up much more). We did 2 tapings in May and August 1998 and had an absolute blast. (More...)

Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Award (1997) — Well, it's old news now of course, but it was very exciting to be included in a great field of comic talent that year (Glenn Christie, Jean Paul, Paul Tedeschini, and Kristeen von Hagen were the other nominees), let alone receive the award! (More...)

Mike Tyson: Still Crazy After All These Ears — Ah, Iron Mike. Would you like to be stuck in an elevator with him? Could you have a coffee with him? Would he still be frightening if he had big Bambi eyes? (Pic...)
